1) Junior Guitar Program

Ages 8–15 years | Level Beginner to Grade 3 | Format Group Lessons

Theme’s Junior Guitar Program (TJGP) is a contemporary group guitar learning program for students aged 8 to 13 years, focused on beginner and intermediate students.

What you learn:

  • Basic technique and posture
  • Chords, rhythm patterns and strumming
  • Staff/tablature reading
  • Beginner repertoire

Program Levels:

Students join the program as beginners and are placed into one of three age-based entry groups.

2) Intermediate Guitar Program

Ages All ages | Level Grade 4 and Grade 5 | Format Group / Solo Lessons

Theme’s Intermediate Guitar Program (TIGP) is a hybrid solo-plus-group program for students who have cleared the Junior level or can demonstrate intermediate guitar skills.

What you learn:

  • Expanded chord vocabulary
  • Fingerstyle and strumming variety
  • More complex songs and performance pieces
  • Grade 2–3 exam-aligned techniques

TIGC Lesson Format:

  • Hybrid cycle of 3 solo lessons + 1 group lesson.
  • Solo lessons: 45 minutes, Group lessons: 1 hour, max 4 students.
  • Each level includes buffer lessons for revision, exam prep, missed lessons, and recitals.
  • Every class follows a structured lesson plan with assigned homework.
  • Students receive a monthly performance and progress report.

3) Beginner Adult Guitar Program

Ages 18+ | Level Beginner to Grade 3 | Format Group / Solo Lessons

Theme’s Beginner Adult Guitar Program helps adult learners build solid foundational guitar skills. You learn at a relaxed pace, combining solo and group sessions.

What you learn:

  • Basic technique, chords and rhythm
  • Reading tablature or staff (as needed)
  • Simple songs and beginner repertoire
  • Comfortable posture and regular practice habits

Program Levels:

Students join as beginners. Each level includes solo + group sessions.

Ages 10+ (all ages welcome) | Format Group / Solo Lessons

Theme’s Advanced Guitar Program is designed for seasoned players or those looking to master guitar – whether for exams, recitals, auditions or personal growth.

What you learn:

  • Advanced techniques for acoustic or electric guitar
  • Performance-ready repertoire
  • Exam-level proficiency (London College of Music /
    equivalent) or formal exam preparation
  • Solo performance skills, improvisation, stylistic
    versatility

Program Levels:

All lessons are solo.

Lesson Duration Format / Notes
45 minutes (or 1 hour for Grade 7+) Solo lessons tailored to the student’s level and goals. The program is flexible and progress is skill-based, not level-based. Admissions require an audition. Strong focus on performance. Timings depend on slot availability.
